Silverdale Child Care Centre

Open from 7:00am to 6:00pm, five days a week and 50 weeks a year (closed on public holidays), we pride ourselves on offering a warm, engaging, and high-quality learning environment that truly feels like a second home.

Nestled on a peaceful one-acre property, our centre offers room to move, space to breathe, and time to connect. Children enjoy generous natural outdoor areas where they can play in the sunshine, tend to our vegetable garden, care for our chickens, and learn about sustainability and the natural world through hands-on, everyday experiences. These opportunities support holistic learning and help children grow into confident, capable, and environmentally conscious individuals.

Our small size is one of our greatest strengths. It allows us to foster strong, trusting relationships with children and families, and ensures every child is truly known, supported, and safe. With passionate, long-term educators, we maintain high levels of active supervision, consistent staffing, and strong partnerships with families to provide a secure and predictable environment where children thrive.

We implement the National Quality Framework, the Early Years Learning Framework, and the Framework for School Aged Care, ensuring our curriculum is both intentional and inquiry-based. Inspired by our philosophy, we provide meaningful, child-led experiences that promote agency, belonging, and confidence. Children are encouraged to express their ideas, make choices, and contribute to decisions about their learning—developing a strong sense of identity and ownership over their environment.
